Hi All,
It has almost been a year since I updated this. I guess this is how the life is, as things getting busier and I am more lazy, it all slowly losing the interest.
Anyway, Raghu wrote a brief few days before, reminding us all about the coming 'Holi'...which I thought should be shared here. Here what he had to say:

Hi Guys
First of all, sorry to Raghu for not responding to his note earlier. As he mentioned, some times we are so busy with our regular lives that it becomes an effort to keep a tap on verything else. Personally, in my case, I have been noticing that my interest in checking mails regularly or picking up the phones every time it rings or updating my online profiles is slowly losing its zing. I am getting lazier I guess!
Anyhow, let's talk about Holi (Thank you once again, Raghu for waking me up and reminding that these festivities do and should matter). Though, I haven't ever played the holi with the right Kanpuriya spirit (This is to remind Raghu that I still don't drink alcohal or bhaang or taaDi or Daaru or Petrol or Sprit or Tharra or any of the Bh)...but neverthless, it was always enjoyable and something we as kids looked most forward too. The day when we played colors, always felt more brighter and cheerful...it brought a lot of cheer, smiles, laughs and allowance to play pranks on each other. There was a lot running around, chasing one another and after we mostly used the whole day to play cricket in front of the house and even got people to watch and participate in those games. An interesting note to share is that I used to prepare myself that day with rubbing the creaming on my face and hands and first colring myself/clothes to avoid much attention...there was this feeling that people will get you hard if they see you not colored or if you throw tantrums to avoid colors. I played smart!
There are lots of memories sorrounding the times...but alas, all this is past, I haven't really played holi after or participated in it after coming here....and that is good 14-15 years now. Holi over here is confined to vistiting temples or people arranging things in banquet halls where you pay a surcharge to participate. I never really attended any...It disinterests me as I find the environment unfamilar and faces unknown...which confuses me....why am i here?
Having said that, my plan that day is nothing...apart from attending a birthday party for formalities on wife's insistence. Life is boring!

Dear all my nears as Raghu had started such a nice on Holi so that I would like to add some thing in this that from the starting I scared from this because it is good to play with the color but it was very difficult to remove from the body particularly from the face and at least for the week we are looking like a monkey so it was very enjoyably to play and in fact it is good to say that when any other person was catch by the others to make him like monkey it was enjoyable but when the same was happened with me it was not enjoyable but before came outside the house on the HOLI day to play firstly I was treated my body with the mustard oil by which no color will last for long on my body but the friends knows the thing very well they first rub my face with my own cloths and after that they color me to make myself the part of the forest. As I am not used to take e Daru Baru and Bhang so that I cann't say that was enjoyable or not
But as a whole we can say we can not forget the early days of HOLI in which we are used to say BURA NA MANO HOLI HE.
So all of you have a wonderful HOLI with you family.
